Reissue of the 2000 debut album from the Cardiff band mclusky. It introduced as an urgent new voice in UK rock music. Capturing the band at their most immediate and raw, it coined mclusky’s blend of serrated guitars, dark humour and Falkous’ pointed, often absurdist lyricism.
Now, 26 years on, the album has been remastered by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios. It remains a crucial document of mclusky’s beginnings. Its influence can be traced across subsequent waves of noise rock and post-hardcore, but its particular mix of wit, hostility and economy remains impossible to replicate.
