Less Than Jake - Hello Rockview LP (Due Out 20/11/2026)

Please note; this is a pre-order item due for release 6th November 2026.

Released on October 7, 1998, Hello Rockview was Less Than Jake's fifth full-length effort, put out via the influential Fat Wreck Chords label. The record stands as a milestone for the ska-punk genre. Tracked at Los Angeles's well-known Westbeach Recorders, it was helmed by producer Ryan Greene, who'd worked with the band for years.

Horns, quick-fingered guitar work, and hooky choruses give the record its energetic, larger-than-life feel. Thematically, the songs dig into growing up, disenchantment, and the messiness of becoming an adult—territory that struck a chord with listeners right as ska's late-'90s resurgence was in full swing. Critics praised the album's catchy songwriting and spirited performances, and it played a major role in establishing Less Than Jake as a defining act in punk and ska. Beyond boosting the band's own profile, Hello Rockview left its mark on musicians who came up in the genre afterward.
